Dr. Mark McGinniss has been Professor of Old Testament Literature, Languages, and Exegesis at Baptist Bible Seminary since 2003 and now also serves as assistant seminary dean as well as the editor for Journal of Ministry and Theology. His educational background includes:

Dr. McGinniss has authored Contributions of Selected Rhetorical Devices to a Biblical Theology of the Song of Songs and “When Surgery Fails” in When Suffering is Redemptive. He has also written articles concerning the Song of Songs and several documents on personal suffering. He enjoys guest speaking at churches, conferences, etc. He and his wife, Joy, have five married children, three grandchildren, and zero pets! His academic interest is wisdom literature, Biblical Hebrew poetry, especially the Song of Songs.
